Nice! How do you like it?

Just arrived today and not much time.....just a few quickie test shots of the dogs. I'll post up more tomorrow. Feels GREAT (which is a lot of what this lens is about). Dense and meaty, but not heavy. Fairly silky smooth in operation. Sharper than I expected for an f.95 lens at this price to be. And the ability to focus it fairly closely REALLY opens up a lot of creative uses.

I'm gonna play with my Oly art filters with this thing on. It'll be like a LOMO on effing steroids.....LOL.

How are ergonomics, how does it feel in the hand?

I think it feels great, David. It's hard to describe without knowing what your reference points are. I have a few old Pentax Super Takumars that I enjoy using for the "feel" of the manual focus and the weight of the lens itself. Many point out heaviness as a negative. For me, that is ALMOST the reverse. Not that I want to carry around a 2 lb. lens. But I like a solidly built lens that has a touch of heft.

It's too early into the honeymoon to complain. I would say my initial response is that it isn't buttery smooth (though it definitely IS smooth) to focus like the Pentax lenses, but those are also 40 years old and well broken-in. It definitely IS way more pleasurable to use (ergonomics-wise) than all the focus-by-wire m43 lenses.

It's small, but not too small.
It's light enough, but not too light AND
It's heavy enough, but not too heavy

The focus throw from near focus to infinity is good.

I don't want to say too much too early on and then change my mind. I used it for a few minutes after the postman came and before I went to run errands.

Thank you for the reply. It sounds like a nice lenses, I am going to order one after Amin announces that someone else won his generous giveaway. I should have ordered it already.

I hope that Mitakon also releases a 14 and 17/17.5mm.

Here's another one. It's really a fun lens to use. But I think the novelty may wear off for me. There were a couple times today when I half-pressed the shutter that I got mad at the lens for not auto-focusing.But you can't pick on this thing for being sharp. Look at those little tiny flecks of dandruff on Oscar's forehead.

Couple of quick test shots, just after receiving lens. So nothing special. My first impressions are positive, just a little nose heavy with my E-P5.
Edit: All shots wide open.

just got the lens as well (thanks BHPhoto, amazingly fast shipping to europe!), seems to be exactly what I hope it to be :) just first shots around the room (have to work, no time to play, grrr)

I also have Olympus 25/1.8 and I never really like it (selling it this week), found it too boring to use... hopefully this one will be more fun with the f0.95 aperture and manual focus :)

Anymore samples from this lens? I'm very tempted to buy it, as it's really a one of a kind for micro43!

Unsure about that nervous/busy bokeh though; more examples at f-stops lower than 1.4 please owners!

For me the bokeh is definitely not as bad as people say it is and the form factor of this lens is definitely something special.
Here are some more shots, all wide open of course. Focusing may not be spot on in these.
