Showcase Zenitar-M 50mm f/1.7

Just got an m42 adapter, and walked around my dad's house with this lens I got from his Zenit camera.

Looks pretty good to me, I'll have to do more shooting with it.

All of these are straight OOC JPGs with the OM-D. I believe all of these are wide open at f/1.7

Some say the Zenitar 50/1.7 is a hidden gem. With the microcontrast shown in your food shot, I can see why.

The one big problem I found out, at least in my sample, is a kind of arc it creates when photographing lamp posts. Could you try yours to see if it occurs too? Thanks.

I am trying to buy a Zenitar 50mm 1.7. what should be the right price ?

I got mine through eBay, in a kit with the Zenith 19 camera. It is in excellent condition, but I recommend looking for a seller with good reputation because there are many Russian lenses bad serviced around there.

Sharp from wide open at f1.7, you know when you've nailed focus, no if's no but's. Colour and contrast are great. MFD at 0.45m is OK for covering most situations.
