Ah yes, Carl Palmer, the human drumming gyroscope. I saw him in L.A, in the late seventies with Emerson and Lake when his drum set not only spun on the vertical axis but the horizontal as well. Of all the drummers I've seen over the years I'd have to say Carl Palmer is close to the top, although Keith Moon's performance on his last tour with TheWho left an indelible mark in my live concert memory bank also. Those two are probably tied for number one in my book.
