interesting to see all the ethnic themed memorials that manage to avoid extravagance, even just by a tad sometimes... many Cretan names in sight
There is a large Greek and Crete presence in Utah many of whom immigrated here in the early 1900's to work in the mining/natural resource industries.

Had a disaster in November, lost 3 months worth of photos in file migration to One Drive which completely knocked me for six... it's taken me almost a month to get my photography mojo back! It took me until practically the last week of December to pick up my camera again so all of my best pics came from two treks 29th and 31st of December.

Nice photos.

Very sorry to hear of your lost photos :( ? .

I like and recommend multiple local backups. At least one completely offline.

Thanks John... the irony of it is is that I'd already bought a back-up drive to copy everything to but kept putting it off for something more interesting... more fool me!

A-ha! That is why it happened! You must never buy a back-up drive if not for immediate use or else it will cause data loss due to anxiety:

No photography for me during the first three weeks of December. The weather was very poor, almost nothing but rain. After Christmas day the weather improved, plenty of fog and some snow which motivated me to get out and take photos.

This last one is a photo of my Daughter and her new dog. I haven't seen much of her this year due to Covid. She wanted some photos for the dog rescues Facebook page where she got the dog from. With snow forecast in the Peak District we went there for some nice winter shots.

December's not been very vibrant in many ways this year, maybe that's why I've favoured B&W this month?

Had Affinity for over a year, not even close to knowing it on more than an aquaintance basis, never mind mastering it: another attempt at masking (don't look too close at the edges, I started to lose patience!)

From a wander around Kelham Island, which used to be heavy, old industry and has now been redeveloped into one of the most desired residential areas in the Galaxy (if you believe the hype):

A more local wander, exposed for the sky and playing with the Affinity tone-mapping persona:

As mentioned above re. B&W, this one had loads of multi-coloured graffiti but was somehow still more appealing de-saturated (when I'm famous, they might call this my grey period!). Again, tone mapped, and looks a little overexposed on here (i.e. not dark enough!):

A mirror to a more colourful world (i.e. more masking practise!):
