Since 2020 was such a terrible year, I thought we should make it a top 11 this time. It really isn't because I couldn't decide on which one of mine to exclude.

What a year! Here are my favorite 11 photos of the year ... why 11? ... no matter, here they are:

A beatiful spring paddle and a slow moving model!

A lovely desert and dinner companion!

Great vaction in Quebec City between COVID lock downs!

Some Excitement, to keep us feeling young!

Nature in all it's glory!

Quick getaway between the 1st and 2nd COVID wave. Ottawa this time.

Lock down cooking ... if you can call making Martini's cooking!

Spring walk, the neighbor was also out on a stroll.

Sampling the wild mushrooms ... kidding!

Enjoying the isolation that snowshoes facilitate!

The UK went into lockdown in March 2020 and I was furloughed from work until October, so a good proportion of my images are from around the village, although in July we got away to Wiltshire (after the lock down was lowered) and to North Yorkshire in September; also, I had a Panasonic G5 converted to full spectrum and started out shooting IR:

Good exercise. Here are a hastily assembled 11 of my favourites from last year. Many of these picked because they bring a particular memory back for me, as much as their possible artistic merit.

In spite of lockdown 2020 gave me glimpses of my new (post lockdown & Covid) "normal" when it comes to m4/3. I discovered that I enjoyed editing and photographing new (to me) subjects too. :doh:

I'm curious about his angle of Turret Arch through North Window. From what I remember, you would have had to be climbing on the edge of some rock for this perspective.

Indeed, you have to go through the North Window and climb down first and up to a rock that can accommodate may be 3 people with tripod.

1/640 @ iso400 for the shots that worked, but I had ones down to 1/200 that were also sharp enough to use. But due to the angle and subject position changing too much they were worse overall. Same way with ones that were in better light and lower iso/higher shutter, but the hoverfly eyes in direct sun didn't look very good.
