One of my favourites from the World Superbike round at Donington Park.
Panned precisely enough to get all of the details and text sharply defined on the bike and rider but with plenty of blur in the wheels and background

This shot didn't get a whole lot of interest anywhere I shared it. But for me, I think it is one of my favorite shots ever. It's not as flashy as a well lit landscape, or as impressive as the perfect wildlife shot. It is all about subtlety. Just the thing that I like the most.

This was my 2018 shot of the year. The most dangerous shot for me. Inches from the 1000 ft drop off with gusty winds from the side and back. A 21 shot 3 row panorama to capture the true perspectives and angles of the walls from the 6 inches to infinity. I'll return in 2019 with the G9 and use the live view to pan the shots to get a wider panorama with people on the cliff to show the scale of this gigantic bend on the Colorado river.

I put together a top ten of my favourites from 2018, in three different categories that I am shooting each day - on my Instagram account. These are one of them from each category (screen shots from Instagram):

It’s been top 5 for the month and top 10 for the year since I’ve been on the board.

I like the idea of choosing only one for the year, it makes you think. My favorite one is one that I took at my mother-in-law's open casket funeral service in February that I can't share, it captured my family's grief.

Oh the irony of taking thousands of photos with M43 gear and having your favorite one taken with the phone...

This may seem like a strange one for me to pick. I mainly shoot nature shots. But I was in Charleston on business and found some time to get in some photography. I went down to the pier area and happened upon this couple getting married around sunset. It was just the couple and the officiant. No one else to share this occasion with them. I took some photos and then after the ceremony congratulated the couple and offered to take a few more. They gladly accepted. I’m no wedding photographer, but some of the shots came out nice. This was my favorite. I sent the couple the shots and they were very appreciative.

This one of a small town cinema sticks in my mind for some reason that I cannot fathom out. It was one taken with a 28PC lens.

It was a "throwaway" after photographing something else.

Here is what is at this moment my favorite ....
Blue Hour Campsite - In North western Ontario in a remote Provincial Park called Wabikimi. We took a 25 hour train ride to get there and then canoed for 2 weeks through this wonderful wild land, we saw moose, caribou, eagles, and more. But my favorite scene was this sunset with the interior of my tent lit up by a torch.

Not my best but my first on coming back to m43 in Feb. Why this one? Because I took about 50 shots and only got 3 in focus which woke me up to just how bad my eyes were. If I'd known that I could get them fixed at the time, I would have hung on to the 3 copies I had of this lens.......................and others :-(
