Great shots!
Out of interest, there are two designs of cast nets that are popular around the world.

But what was it she was really hoping to capture using that method?
Nothing wrong with the method. The plash of the net hitting the water often causes fish to dart upwards and into the net where they then get stuck if it is a small fish.

I wasn't questioning the method; I've only ever seen nets used underwater.
Just wondering what sort of catch she could expect. :hmmm:

It's mainly small fish. They tend to swim at the top in a group. So one throw over them could land you several fishes. They often hang out by piers etc because of what folks throw in the water. So some sea fishermen walk with a cast net to catch a few small fish. They end up in a bucket of water, and then used as life bait.
