I noted on my m1mii camera that with release priority on or off there seems to be no difference. The camera will take a picture no matter what the focus. Does this function only work with pro level lens. I have tried with my 75-300 and 40-150. Camera has the firmware released in January. Any recommendations.Mine are similar to some of the other postings:
- If SCP is disabled by default, activate it (for all modes in the newer cameras)
- Disable Live Control in all modes
- Set the Copyright string
- Set the filename to use a unique character (i.e. starting with 'Q', and I think I'm up to 'Y' now), and turn off resetting the filename each time you format the card
- Turn off 'Keep Warm Color'
- Enable Super-fine JPEG mode and use that for the default
- Program button FN2 to be the x2 (digital converter)
- Enable the histogram and program level in some of the live view modes
- Set the arrow keys so they change the focus point by default instead of having programmed functions
- Set the picture mode to be vivid
- Set the auto ISO max to be an appropriate value for the camera (this is subject to change as I use the camera)
- Set noise filter to low
- Set flash mode to fill flash
- Set release priority for both S-AF and C-AF to be off
- Set touch screen behavior to set the focus point but not take the picture (unless the camera is being used in one of my steampunk boxes, where I do set the touch screen to take the picture)
- On the newer bodies disable the touch screen when the EVF is being used (assuming the body has an EVF)
- Turn off the EVF auto switch capability on bodies with an EVF
