Leaving on Sept 10, we spent 5 days camping and hiking in the Mammoth Lakes region of the Eastern Sierra Mountains. Autumn is definitely in the air and the leaves are just beginning to change. The deer and the bears have come down from the higher elevations seeking food and warmth. In fact we had a bear in camp who made a visit to our drink cooler...he does not like diet soda! A quick chase and he was on his way to better food.

Camping at Twin Lakes put us in close proximity to Yosemite National Park and a number of other area's to discover and explore. Twin Lakes our home away from home.

I planned an afternoon trip to Yosemite to try and get some late afternoon to early evening pictures of some of my favorite places. Here's a few. I used both my new Panasonic LX5 and the Panasonic GF1 with my new Olympus 9-18mm lens. Lembert Dome from Tuolumme Meadows

Lots more pics on my Flickr link below. We had a great time and I got to use both camera's. The GF1 around my neck and the LX5 in my jacket pocket. I am very pleased with the results of both. Thanks for looking! Feel free to post your comments good/bad or indifferent.
