Eh? Aren't you going to lose a stop from the tele-converter, leaving you at around 3.5?

  2. I may be wrong, but you lose a stop with a tele-converter which mounts between the body and the lens on an ILC. An extra element in front of the lens doesn't affect the f-value.

Anyone know a good and cheap solution of getting WA?

I have this cheap 58mm WA-lens bought from eBay that I tried just holding in front of the lens and it actually worked quite well, just that the optical quality of that one is really crap, the corners are blurred.

Wide angle, Century Precision Optics style. Century .6x Super Wide Angle WA-6058, Century +2 Diopter and Century 46-58mm step ring. Not a cheap option (I got very lucky with some Ebay purchases), but optically it was very good and it autofocused pretty well (with the diopter). Just a little bit of barrel distortion to correct in post.
