They don't have any in stores?

Good luck finding one used. This is a "you'll have to pry it out of my cold dead hands" lens

Plenty in the 'shops', just a bit pricey for me hence wanting a used one. They do pop up on the market though, not always with dead mans fingerprints on either.

Maybe you can find someone from the forum in the US to get you one and mail it to you. It's only $327.00US on Amazon right now and with no tax and free shipping.

Eh, I don't know. The old "contents GIFT, value $10US" has always worked for me any time I've sold en ebay item to someone overseas. That box will be so light why would they even flag it?

Cheers, but as pdh points out, the potential customs charge nullifies any savings on the new price.

Edit: it's a bit of a dangerous game with the 'undervalued declaration' trick as the postage insurance probably wouldn't cover a claim on a broken lens.

I agree it isn't worth the risk with customs and they do put a very high value on your items when they are calculating their %'s.
If you search around you can find the lens a lot cheaper, I managed to get find mine ( from Santa ) on the internet for £229 and then I found a 5% discount code for the shop, I printed it out, sent it to John Lewis and John Lewis did a price match. Just Google away for the lens and then for discount codes for the shop you find it in. I think Curry's have started price matching as well as JL.

Camera Price Busters is always a great place to look, sometimes the prices you find there are so cheap it's not worth doing much more searching

I paid £210 for my 20mm, I bought it split from a gf1 kit second hand six months ago, and I thought I got a very good price. It's such a good lens that if (god forbid) I broke it, I'd just have to buy it again; and I'd rather get it right away than sit mulling over a £10 or £20 saving.

    It is that good.

Much though I am enjoying the 45/2.8, If I lost both, it's the 20mm I'd replace first.

Camera Price Buster is certainly useful, and extremely accurate, which is especially admirable as the man who runs it does so in his spare time, (although if you are after Olympus mFT lenses, you won't find them listed there ... he knows about this shortcoming)
