Would Canon make a Retro ILC?

    Ever since the introduction of the EOS line in the 80's Canon hasn't done retro, ever. Having some features like the E-M5 doesn't make it retro. Styling cues and controls make retro. Canon doesn't do Retro.

    Canon would be well served making a "Canonet".

    ILC mirrorless? I tend to agree that Canon doesn't do retro, but if they ever did I'd instantly buy one based on the Canon P.

    I don't think Canon meant "retro" in saying they are thinking about an OMD like EOS-M but rather it will have a built in EVF and more serious interface and look much like a DSLR.

    If they keep releasing the same model every year, it will become retro eventually.:rolleyes:

    Does anyone know where the fire extinguisher is? Cause the smoke in here mean that there was a heckuva BURRRNNN!

    Seriously though, why would they not? Their customers seem to want to keep buying the same model over and over...
