I have a gx7 which has wifi
What are the best solutions for wireless off camera flash??
Best? Pocket Wizards. But they are also one of, if not the, most epxensive with lots of features many people do not need.
I just picked up some Cactus v5 devices. Easy to use and not too expensive.
The WiFi in the camera has nothing to do with wireless flash control. That's done via an infrared pulse from the inbuilt flash if you want TTL control. Or you can go a manual solution via Pocket Wizards etc...
Both Panasonic and Olympus (and Metz) make wireless TTL flashes. The Olympus FL600r or Panasonic clone of it should be fine for most applications. Be careful to select the wireless compatible models. Some don't have the functionality built in.
I'm not sure Metz offers wireless TTL for Panasonic bodies.
I see... i currently own the FL360E whereas the FL360LE has got a built in 4 channel wireless receiver... if i made the upgrade would i still need buy a a TTL control or can the two somehow connect?
Total lamen on this subject!!
