Will Minolta AF lens work with Sony Nex-3?

    Just looking for uses for some of my older lens.

    Will AF work with the NEX-3?

    Only if you buy one of the electronic A-mount adapters, either the EA1 or the EA2.

    Only the EA2 adapter will autofocus Minolta AF lenses. EA1 doesn't have a motor so it will only AF a select few Sony SAM/SSM lenses. The lenses with a built in motor. Minolta AF lenses don't have a motor. They need a motor in the camera body to drive them. The EA1 doesn't have a motor, EA2 does. The EA2 adapter is actually quite remarkable. It converts a NEX into a DSLR with phase detect autofocus.
