Will a heavy WCON hurt Oly 14-42mm kit lens?

Hi, I recently purchased a Bower 0.45x 37mm Wide angle converter for the Olympus 14-42mm kit lens. It feels a little heavy (nice built quality, though).
I wonder if it hurts the kit lens performance, especially AF. My guess is that it is probably fine, as the kit lens has the internal focusing mechanism so the front element doesn't rotate. But I am not an expert in lens design so not sure. I understand certainly that connecting the WCON to the lens adds some weight/stress to the lens, as well as the camera mount, especially when the lens is in the "use" mode . In this sense, a lighter WCON is always welcomed. I may just buy a fine scale and weigh the WCON and compare with the Olympus WCON P-01 (which seems not available).

    Thanks for any information!

Are you using the kit lens from the E-PL2?
