One evening in Valley of Fire Nevada State Park last week, these desert big horn sheep (ewes) were coming down a steep cliff when I first saw them. They proceeded to cross a flat in front of me and then down into a gully on their way to a water hole. They make interesting subjects but would have preferred to seen a ram also.

I was going through some of my old files and found these from a trip to Rocky Mountain National Park 10 years ago. We always would go to Colorado and meet up with a guide we knew for dinner and he would take us around to the hot spots. On this trip, we also went to Mt. Evans for the Rocky Mountain Goats. We found them away from the road. We also photographed in the park with the last shot being one in which my wife was taking photos of the sunrise when this deer just happened to pass by her. She was unable to get to the camera in time and our guide friend was down the road a bit setting up for his landscape shots. I got the only shot of this deer. Nikon D2x with 300mm 2.8 and 80-200 2.8.

You are welcome.

Your shot would look absolutely beautiful as a big print - A2 size, or even bigger.
I'm flattered, sir.
Nah, I don't print any of my images. I guess if someone asked me to, I would.
I just do this sometimes.
Thank you again. Really appreciate it.

Went out looking for Rocky Mountain Big Horn Sheep this past wet stormy weekend. As the rut approaches the rams begin moving down to ewe territory. Was hoping to get photos of rams clashing their horns as they fight for breeding rights...kinda like bar fights! When the opportunity finally came the rams were screened by some dead trees although did get a shot of them posturing before the clash. In the first few photos the ewe is checking a ram out and he appears interested. However a challenger appears and that is when I got the posturing shot.
These photos were taken at 400+ yards with a Sony RX10M3 and are large crops. Included is a photo of my spotting scope looking at the cliffs across the canyon where the rams were. Also one of my friend checking out the action.

Beautiful set, especially number 7.

I received this lens today. I needed something to cover wide angle.
Didn't pay much for it. The glass seems to be really good. Nothing like the pro lenses , but, it works well.

This is one of the places that I go to and sit , sometimes for hours. I just wanted to give this lens a run to see if it was any good.
Hope you guys are well, thanks for viewing.
