Here's another swamp wallaby, enjoying the late afternoon sun. No editing except crop, as I'm losing confidence in my ability to edit (and shoot, if I'm honest) this kind of thing! ?

Beautiful creature, Melanie. Lovely shots, too.

I don't bother editing about 99% of the images I post here. Just try to get it right in the camera.

This beautiful little sugar glider was, unfortunately, dead when I found it, but I decided to turn a sad find into a photo opportunity, and spent some time photographing it like a newborn. I think I'll post a series in a separate thread, and hope people won't find it distressing or weird.

A few pictures from the same humming bird sitting in the same branch on two consecutive days - creature of habit.
I was surprised to notice even with the slow aperture of the Panasonic 100-300mm the depth of field was not enough for the whole body in some pictures. How do people manage shooting larger animals with faster glass?

Mix of birds from a walk in Urca - Rio de Janeiro - Brasil
Really hard to tame the colors on the red ones, but I swear it was just as saturated in real life!

Would love to identify the last one if someone has a clue.

Turbo's relatives came to visit a few years ago and have refused to leave despite sluggo treats. Another unwelcome UK visitor. :(
Just deleted about a 1.000 wording that looked similarly to BoJo's shenanigans that reminded me how "warmed welcomed" I've felt when i "Imported" from EU but realised that might be to political of a topic :p

But tell you what, try calling a referendum to see if that works on your Turbo's relatives.

'Doggie bag'! Not to everyones taste, I suppose (just trying to put in a good word for Turbo - got such a bad press lately. Offended viewers may please take this as educational).
I promise to do better next time - should not be too difficult!

Two snapping turtle fry found within ten feet of each other on the same day. Since it was a dog walk, it wouldn't have been responsible to search for the nest. I was on my belly at minimum focusing distance.

I found this rather unafraid rabbit in my garden area. The rabbit nests in some hedges next to the garden and has grown quite a bit over the past several months. We have noticed damage to some plants and some tomatoes with holes in the side but that is a small price to pay for the joy of seeing a life develop and to see the trust we seem to have in each other. It will just sit and watch unless I make a fast move but will let me approach fairly close.
