A wildlife walk in an English summer meadow.
This is Lugg Meadows in Herefordshire, noted mostly for the fritillaries in spring, but here showing a profusion of buttercups.

This rabbit was small. How small was he? Well, Nancy, he was smaller than my bank account.

It's amazing for me to think that this animal which from my American POV is "exotic" is just hanging out around your house.

It makes me wonder if there's an equivalent animal native to my area that others would view as exotic. I know that when I was in Costa Rica a few years back that a raccoon (which is an animal that I occasionally encounter on my way to work) drew quite a crowd of onlookers.

I found this house finch in my yard, it was probably sick because it didn't want to move.

The snake went and hid under the tomato plants and I left the 2 alone. Later in the day I found the finch dead, unconsumed, but with the neck feathers missing or disturbed.
