Pronghorns, the second fastest mammal next to Cheetah. I see them all the time, but they always run away really fast whenever I pull over my car, so I can't take close-up pictures. But this time, I slowed down while opening window, pulled over, and several of them were looking at me before starting to run. So I was able to get some portrait shots of this girl (guy?). Didn't have time to change aperture, so the focus looks like on the neck.

Not the friendly fellers that tourists see in the outer burbs but this is part of a wild mob living in my local wetlands and you have to steer well clear of the big bucks. Stalked them for over an hour hoping to get a shot of the Joeys head sticking out the mother's pouch but only managed a foot ☹ They tend to sit on the edge of the woodland but disturb them and they're off into the bush so shots are invariably in shadow or dappled light. I've taken hundreds of shots of them over the years but never been fully satisfied with any of them.....................just one shot with a catchlight in their eyes would do me!

There was a bit of a story going on here at the time, so here is one leading up to the larger seal gaining the upper hand (or on their case flipper)
(These were all shot while bobbing around on a little zodiac with my wife at the helm)
