Not great, but certainly memorable. First time I've had the chance to shoot a cantering coyote in full profile - mostly I get white-tail deer butts. If I hadn't been able to switch instantly to my BIF settings (C-AF, all targets, Low silent (7 fps), Auto-ISO, Shutter priority, 1/1600 sec., aperture open or nearly so, matrix metering, +1 ev.) I would only have brought back mush.

Three consecutive frames @ 7fps. In subsequent frames the focus became fascinated by closer clumps of glass. One more click of the mode dial (from C1 to C2) would have given me the center box with tracking which I suspect would have been a bit more successful at ignoring the grass. These were cropped to ~9Mpix before resizing for web display. They all benefitted from a trip through Topaz AI.

Today I saw a Steller sea lion chowin' down on an octopus - first time I've seen this in person!
Photos captured near Saturna Island, BC.

This squirrel was eating the nut very loudly. Took me a little while to spot him in the poor light, very surprised the photo came out well. Quite a heavy crop as he was high in the tree.
