Lou Reed!Do you all know what it means to walk on the wild side?
Ok, that's it, you win. The internet is shut down for the rest of the day.Happened upon this on a hike in Big Sur two weeks ago. Also cross posted a similar pic to "For the cat lovers". E-M5II + 75-300 View attachment 878680
Why thank you! I actually wondered about whether this bobcat was somehow domesticated or perhaps being fed by the locals. I was literally only 20 yards from it when I took the shot. When it sensed my presence, it didn't take off for the underbrush as one would expect. He just kept foraging for gophers in the field and doing a bad job at it, hence, my doubts about its "wildness".Ok, that's it, you win. The internet is shut down for the rest of the day.
Great shot!
Keep in mind when seeing animals during the day that are primarily nocturnal can be cause for alarm. They could be ill and more on guard, temperamental, or otherwise predisposed to aggression. Other things that are less worrisome are shortage of their regular food supply, their sleeping area being disturbed, etc., but it's best to assume the worst and be prepared. Why thank you!
