This is where I love using the 7-14mm on the GH1. The low angle and ultra wide perspective really makes the flowers stand out. My local churchyard is famous for its snowdrops display every year, and I always go to get my first hint of Spring.

7mm

thanks for sharing, are all those at 7mm
Yes - I use the 7mm setting to really exaggerate the perspective. This combined with the ability of the lens to focus very close gives a dramatic setting for the flowers. They are very prominent in the picture but there's always the setting in which they grow.
I've always loved wide-angle flower images like this and this lens + the flip out screen on the GH1 gives me the opportunity to create some.

I've been enjoying your pictures on your blog with this lens for a while. Will have to start saving the pennies I think! They seemed to be hard to get hold of when I last looked longingly.

Soundimage has a blog? Have you mentioned it on here? Inquiring minds need to know. Beautiful light in those images...and they make me long for spring even more!

And pointoneeight, welcome to the MU-43.com discussion board! When you have a chance stop by the Intro thread and let us know how you found your way here and whatever else you'd like.

You're embarrassing me - but I recover quickly.
The blog is at:-

In return for this piece of self-publicity I have added this site to my links. I think I'm getting the best of that deal though!

Many thanks for your kind comments. It is a superb lens. I searched long and hard for a really good ultra-wide, in all sorts of formats, until I found the 7-14.
I believe its the sharpest super wide I've ever used. I will admit to never having tried the Nikon 14-24 f2.8, as I'm not sure I can lift it!!
