Since watching a video, where they explained the functions of the program selector wheel. I generally use P for Professional Mode, most of the time.

i used P mode on my old Canon T70 film camera as it generally made things idiot proof in terms of getting a usable image ....
When i moved to digital i went to A (for amateur) mode and largely lived there till a few years ago when S&M got more use as i tortured myself learning to use more then just aperture control.
these days i mix M and A modes the most.
P and iAuto just get ignored unless i hand the camera to someone else .... iAuto for an obvious non camera user and even then it's a crap shoot :)

I still find for most of the stuff i do aperture control, fixed ISO floating shutter works the best for me.

And here was I thinking P was for "Professional" & A for "Amateur" ! :laugh1:
(of course I wasn't thinking that, but it sounds like a good one to spin to the uninitiated)
You have potentially upset scores of photographers with those scathing comments. Just to clarify. P for professional, or if you don't have a mirrorless system, Perfect. A is for Almost Perfect and S is for sometimes catches the movement. B is for blur. M is for works with flash.

M is for Maybe i'll get these settings right may the gods bless me.

Olympus cut the number of Cat modes to three on the mk2 when studies showed that only true pros could herd more than three cats and why the em1x increased it again to 4

Ahhh the gods love me a lot. I am blessed by the settings god for thou loves the M mode and the guidance thereof is the vision in the almighty EVF. I never touch that evil before mentioned settings. Love be my lord for BIF's are before me.

Danny or should that now beof Daniel.

I use it every now and then.
- when handing camera to someone else
- I shoot raw, it’s my jpeg setting
- I wish it worked with RAW. It may make you feel like you’re
no longer contributing, but it does deliver good results.

“Why not“ rather than “and why”.
