    when you can do this!

This is my viewfinder for Canon LCD....but the kit comes with 2 magnetic/metal strips. Since the LCDs were identical in size, what the heck, why not.

    It works great!

Looks huge...Way to spoil the look of such otherwise beautiful camera. Besides VF-2 will give you much higher resolution

    I totally agree.

I did it for the fun of it... is it practical? Well...it could be if I got it on a tripod and doing a video. Would I carry this around? Hells no.

I paid $39 but it looks like the price has come down a bit.

Sometimes function is more important than looks. Like when I was trying to do a macro shot in blazing full sun.

Funny...that's why I put it on this afternoon. To make an avatar... which I'll put up in a minute.

Well, it's cheaper than the VF-2. I use a Delfin shield, which is not as good as this but helps in bright sunlight.

    Luke,

The only complaint I have is that the magnets that are embedded in the viewfinder (6 of them) aren't tightly held. 2 of them I had to superglue which works fine.

Once the viewfinder is attached correctly on the slot of the metal frame (self adhesive) on the camera, it stays on solid.

$56 for the adapter and you still need to find the Hasselblad finder (likely not cheap). It's a sharp looking retro-y gadget, but I think that ugly-ish set-up from the original post probably WORKS best.

It's like the guy who has a beautiful sports car in his garage and a sensible car that just works good for driving most days.

I would normally hate to make the E-P1 less attractive, but for special shooting circumstances, you gotta do what you gotta do.

    Well...that certainly is a viewfinder isn't it...

Actually, I have to admit that's pretty clever. Not the sexiest thing in the world but it has a certain "maker" charm.
