I was thinking about getting -
A - the 45mm 1.8 lens and the Olympus grip
    B - the 75-300mm lens -

my main lens in the Pan 25mm 1.4

    thoughts - thanks

I am new at this but I can tell you that the choice depends on what you shoot.

You are asking if you should by a Hummer or a Prius. :D  - if you live in Wyoming, I'd say go for the hummer. If you are in NY, get the Prius.

If "I" had to chose, I would go for the zoom due to what my needs are. Mostly nature. If I was a street shooter, I'd go for the 45mm.

    Welcome to the forum!

Your needs will vary. Your main lens is 25mm.

Do you find your photography needs super long zoom lenses?
Are you uncomfortable holding the camera without a grip?
The 45 is a beautiful lens for a great price.
The 75-300 is quite pricey, compared to the $499 Panasonic 100-300.

The question you posed seems like this: do I want a danish or a slice of pie.
Both are delicious. Both satisfy different wants.

Ultimately you choose a budget, and then prioritize what best serves your immediate needs.

The grip was a welcome addition to me. The camera without the grip was just too small for my hands. If I'm just around the house, the portrait section stays on, if I'm out, vertical grip only. The 75-300 wouldn't get used a whole lot for what I want to shoot.
