Looking at these two lenses for a EM-5mkII camera. Which one would you choose and why one over the other? What are the pros and cons of them? Feedback greatly appreciated

Thank you Bill

I would only consider the mkII of either lens for starters.

The Oly 14-150 II is weather sealed as mentioned and that's a big plus. The Pan 14-140 II has the advantage if being a little smaller and lighter. It also supports Dual IS on Panasonic bodies.

I have very good Success with 14-140 MkII
That's my preference as well. But that's because I have a Panasonic body and prefer the zoom direction (Panasonic and Olympus zoom in opposite directions). But if I had an Olympus weather sealed body?

I have the mkii 14-150, nice light combo with em5 and added bonus of being sealed. Mines a bit soft above 100, but still ok for when the extra length is needed. Also as it sealed and has a long range, there’s less/no lens changing, so perfect on long hikes in bad weather

I am a great believer in matching bodies and lenses from the same manufacturer. So you will be missing out on the great P14-140 then.

I can only recommend what I have bought, use and like. The P14-140 f3.5-5.6 mk.11 model, smaller, much lighter, slightly faster and better.
