I am not familiar with the &$%#* brand. What other lenses do they make besides a 45mm f1.8?

  4. Sigma's secret mirrorless subsidiary, perhaps?

The most anticipated m43 lens for sure. All mirrorless systems' users have been asking for a portrait lens since day one. Still, Olympus will be the first one to deliver.

maybe they are just delaying the release until there is a m4/3 body that will do it justice:eek:

Does this mean you ruled out the wide angles you were talking about purchasing?

I'm torn between the new 45 and the 9-18, I know they are quit different, but I know I will use both.

You buy one and I'll buy the other and we could trade off :) I want the wide angle for a cruse in jan, but I want the 7-14 and I'm having trouble justifying it. I have 3 days off next week( mon- wed), we should meet up for coffee.

Look on the bright side guys. You could be on my side of the globe where the &$%#* official distributor lists the EPL2 as a "new model" & the E-P1 is still available brand new for $950. It'll probably be another 12 months before I see a non-grey market 45mm 1.8 on the shelves, if at all. Its frustrating considering our proximity to &$%#* home country.

    &$%#* that!

Panansonic got blindsided by the 20mm demand and they had to deal with kit lens distribution.

&$%#* better do their homework and release enough of these buggers. They've had months to market this thing.
