Because it was our hottest day today for a long time, I went looking for a relevant thread to post this in but couldn't find one - please enlighten me if it's been done before! Often the discussions on the forum are around specific and opposite weather conditions - how they affect our gear, what subjects we are able to shoot, such as seasonal sports, landscapes, etc. Right now it's record-breakingly HOT in many parts Australia - here it's early evening and 113F, where F stands for F that! 20190124_182609-01.

  4. We had 9” of snow on Monday. It’s been below freezing most of the days since then, although it is suppose to be sunny for the next 5 days and gradually warming.

This has been an uncharacteristic winter for Victoria. Temps are pretty normal, hovering around 5-10*C, but in 20 years I can't remember a winter with so many blue sky days. And the clouds have been fantastic! Usually it's just grey and flat, but we've seen lots of white fluffy stuff floating past.

Vancouver BC - currently 5C (41 F) and sunny with no wind all day. People were griping because it dipped below freezing in the early morning.

Yeahm @Harvey Melvin Richards , you think that's funny - when it hits about 27 to 30 C (81 to 86 F) Vancouverites start whining about how hot it is. I tell them to go down to the beach or walk the seawall. Downtown Vancouver has water on 3 sides and always a nice breeze in Summer. Wussies!

Hot, windy, lightnings, no rain...Tasmania is burning :crying:
We are lucky on the Tasman Peninsula so far (except the only road in/out is closed atm due to a new fire...) but the rest of the state is not so lucky. Uncontrolled fires all over the state, hundreds are evacuated, many thousands of acres of fragile World heritage areas are burnt. No end in sight.
