    Just interested

    Mine is:

    G1 plus 14 45 plus memory card = £430
    Two adapter = £100
    Leica M to screw = £40 - secondhand
wide angle lens - coming this week = £300 to £400

So I am getting near the magic "grand" figure - which must be on the low side looking at what some of you guys have got

(I have all the legacy stuff I need - for the present time), but I could do with another couple of adapters
    Pentax, (both) to M4/3
    FD to M4/3

and maybe an Alpa Kinoptik 100mm f2.0 apo , (US$ 3,000 to 4,000 secondhand) - after seeing the images in the adapted lens thread and in the Gallery

What, you mean go over the "Nikon F5" on my strap with a black indelible marker?

For just 400 yen, I got a like-new "Minolta" strap today, with the logo in which the "O" of "MINOLTA" looks like a hamburger. Pimp my Leica! (If only I had a Leica. I don't.)

I used to like the camera (etc) store "Camera no Doi" (of the same group that brought out the Plaubel Makina) but since it went bust I've done most of my shopping at Yodobashi. My wife needs an A3 color laser printer for business? Fine, fine, I'll buy it at Yodobashi -- and the points go on my card. I only wish my employer would let me do the same thing.

Are you buying these in Tokyo? If so, I think it's time for me to get in touch with my friends in Tokyo and see if they can give me a hand.

Here we go in canadian dollars:

    Gf1 with 20 1,7mm: $999,00 +txs
    Sandisk sd extreme 8g: $119,00 +txs
    Panasonic Flash FL 360: $369,00+txs
    Pana. 14-140mm: $1029,00 +txs
    Pana. Evf: $189,00 +txs

Considering that the 20 1,7 sell for $500,00 alone, by buying a kit, my Gf1 cost me $500,00.

But i sold some serious Nikon stuff to finance this.

    cheers

$526.00 including shipping for an "as new" condition E-P1 and 14-42mm from a private seller on eBay. Approximately $60.00 for a Tamrac case and B&W MRC UV filter for the lens from B&H Photo. $34.00 for two 8GB Sandisk Ultra II cards from Costco.

I am trying very hard not to get into the "system" mentality with m4/3rds and just continue to carry the camera with just one lens. The siren call of the Panasonic 20mm is getting harder to ignore though. . .

    Regards,

    Antonio

When I give yen prices, the stuff is bought in Tokyo. The adapters are from Fleabay. The Cosmicar lens was from right here (cheaper than Fleabay!); incidentally, it arrived with a filter screwed in so tight that I can't remove it.

    Alright, I'm in.

    GF1 with 20mm 1.7: $853.00 (Amazon Warehouse)
    Panasonic 14-45 lens: $285.00 (ebay)
    Pentax-A 50mm 1.7: $8.00 (pawn shop)
    PK Adapter: $36.00 (ebay)

Considering I have well over $7000.00 invested in my DSLR system, I think I'm doing pretty well with mu4/3.

I love stealing from pawn shops too! I got my 40mm f2.8 Pentax M pancake, with an MX body for $25 from the local shop. Funny thing was he pulled out this huge bag full of junk lenses thinking they were great (some no name old film body, couple of 2x and 3x TCs and a 500mm 6.3 or something like that. I just nodded and said I wasn't interested, just this one please, haha.

PS if anyone is after the Hexanon 40/1.8, I notice that collectiblecameras.com/ has a couple attached to bodies, for palatable prices.

    GF1 + 14-45mm = 680 euro (eBay UK)
    20mm + 45-200mm = 620 euro (UK)
OM adapter = 27 euro (eBay US)
    8GB SD card = 16 euro

That's 1343 euro so far... future purchases will be a spare battery, a reversing ring and a good light tripod, will look for that at the end of the month when I'll be in NYC!
