See my sig, my wife has the Oly F/1.8 primes that she uses with her E-M10 III. The only zoom that I currently use is the PL 10-25. I have mixed feelings about the Oly 75mm.

I'm a prime lens shooter. I love em. Zooms bore me . That said , I have never been able to afford the super fancy prime lenses .... My kit is pretty boring . My prime kit typically consts of :

Samyang 7.5m 3.5 fisheye, Olympus 17mm 1.8, Panasonic 25mm 1.7, Olympus 45mm 1.8. I also just added a 7 artisans 35 mm 1.2, because it is a lot of fun to play with.

This is usually all I need for most things I shoot. Coupled with either an em1mk2 or em10mk2, they all perform wonderfullyb.

What's in your prime kit ?

Panasonic 15mm f/1.7 and Sigma 56mm f/1.4 mainly. I also have the Olympus 60mm and 30mm macros of which I use the 60mm mainly. I tried out the 30mm before getting the 60mm but it was unsuitable for my needs but haven't gotten around to selling it.
I used to own the 45mm and 75mm f/1.8 and may re-buy the 75mm but it's a toss-up between the 56mm and 75mm.

Panny 14, 15, 20, both 25’s, 42.5/1.7, Oly 60mm macro, Samyang 12/2, 7.5 Fisheye, 7artisan 25/1.8, 8mm/4 from I forget who, but my favorite right now is the Laowa 7.5/2. Lot’s of overlap, but it’s for two shooters. The 100-400 might as well be a 400mm prime tho.

Just a few primes: 2.8/60 macro and 1.8/75 .
Since I got the 2,8/12-40 I started mounting the zoom again more often.
This with one of the other two is the perfect light package for almost everything.

Oly 25mm f1.8, Pan 42.5 f1.7, Sigma 56 f1.4, Oly 60 f2.8, Oly 75 f1.8

Generally use the 25 for events esp at night.
The 42.5 for portraits.
The 75 for events and portraits.
The 60 for macro ofcourse and some events where the FL is at the sweetspot.
Both the 42.5 and 75 might be superseded by the Sigma 56 for portraits, So I might sell the 42.5 but I'll definitely keep the 75 for its excellent sharpness, reach and speed. With cropping and the excellent IBIS on the G9 it can effectively reach almost as far as my 14-140 at night where it'd be impossible to use the zoom and still get usable images.

I have mixed feelings about the Oly 75mm.

That lens has the best resolution of the lenses in my kit. I like the ability to crop snaps taken on my Pen F and it is a decent landscape lens too. What do you find are its limitations?

Have two "setups", one small/light and one big/heavy.

Small/light, this is use more for travel and casual photography...when travel often one or two of the primes with my Oly 12-100.

Oly 12mm f2.0
Oly 17mm f1.8
Oly 45mm f1.8

Big/heavy, often used with my PL 8-18 and for more planned photo session.

PL 25mm f1.4
PL 42.5mm f1.2
Oly 75mm f1.8

Recent rationalisation leaves me with the Olympus f/1.8 premium trio:
  • O17mm
  • O25mm
  • O45mm
If I’m going primes only I tend to use either the 17/45 combo, or the 25 alone.

did you say Olympus OM Zuiko 350mm ƒ/2.8 :) :) :) ......... again!
Just to get a rise out of you, Danny. :)

If you really want one, I suggest using wachete.com (or some other webpage change monitor service) to monitor the KEH.com page for it. (Or for any other lens, for that matter.) You'll be notified within about ten minutes of that page changing. Be sure to use Wachete's partial page feature, or you'll be notified every day as the KEH top banner changes, which means you'll get daily notifications of their special sales, which may cause you to buy way more than what you really want, and you'll end up like me. :-(

BTW: KEH.com currently has the Olympus OM Zuiko 500mm ƒ/8 Reflex for $149, less their 20% off all "UGly" condition lenses, for a total of just $119.20! This is one of the world's best mirror lenses!

BTW2: Their description of their "UG" rating is scary, with "possible glass markings that can affect image quality." But I've bought two "UGly" things from them; both arrived near mint, albeit with pieces missing. I got a Telescoping Extension Tube for $39 — it arrived like new, but without caps or the tripod foot, which you don't really need with IBIS, anyway. And I just got the Olympus OM Zuiko 100mm ƒ/2 in "UGly" condition for $438.30 — it arrived near mint, with perfect glass and one tiny 0.5mm wear mark on the aperture ring, but in a plastic bag, with no case or caps. (I have a drawer full of various caps!)
