Oly 12mm f/2
Pan 14mm f2.5
PL 25mm f1.4
Oly 60mm macro

Love them all. 12mm and 25mm get lots of use. The 14mm isn't as sharp as these two. I like playing with the macro and need to practice more - have had some good shots, but need more consistency.

Also have 2 zooms - PL 8-18 and PL 100-400. Love these too.

I have several prime lenses: 25mm 1.7, PL 45mm 2.8 Macro, 60mm 2.8 Sigma. I also have several zooms: Panasonic 7-14mm 4, Olympus 14-40 2.8 Pro, Olympus 40-150mm 2.8, Olympus 50-200mm 2.8/3.5, Olympus 14-54mm 2.8/3.5, and the 40-150mm kit lens. I use the 25mm very little, the 45mm 2.8 Macro fairly often, the 60mm 2.8, hardly ever, but the zoom lenses with the exception of the 40-150mm kit lens, all the time.

Had this setup for years. They get equal much of use, but O45 makes most of my "wow" stuff

I have the Oly 17, 45 and 75 f\1.8, Mitakon Speedmaster 25 f\0.95 (for video), Bower 7.5 f\3.5FE, and the Pan 30 f\2.8 macro.

I also have a few useful zooms that I use regularly, but they are not the topic of this thread

I just have 45mm f1.8 which is yet to be delivered. It will slot nicely between 12-40 and 50-200. Oh and 60mm macro, I somehow always not consider it as prime even though it is.
Edit: and Rokinon 7.5mm f3.5 too! Man these lenses are popping out of the woodwork

I think I use my primes in a similar way to many of you, in that I either take the 14 and 45 with me or just the 25. I tend to use the primes when I want a smaller, unobtrusive kit in my hands. e.g. Street or if I am doing portraits of the kids.

I am thinking of swapping the 14 for the 17 1.8 at some stage or even adding the P20. I find the O25 just too tight.. much tighter than I remember a 50mm on a film SLR. That's maybe due to aspect ratio?
I have a couple of kit zooms O14-42 EZ - which I think is a bit soft so I use: Lumix 12-60 and 45-150 for travel (holidays) when lens swapping becomes too much hassle or the family are moving fast and won't wait. I also have some legacy glass: an Olympus 50mm 1.8 and a Pentax 135mm 3.5-but they don't get much use.

Sometimes, I think I'd be happier with just a 12-40 pro and one prime...mmm

It’s strange how certain equivalent focal lengths feel different on different systems🤔

In m43 world I have an O17/1.8 and P42.5/1.7.

I’ve also got an old manual focus Tamron adaptall 90mm macro, which I’ve never tried on an m43 camera. Does anyone have experience of using an adaptall 2 to m43 adaptor?

9mm BCL, P14mm f2.5, O17mm f1.7, P20mm f1.7, P25 f1.4, O45 f1.7 and Sigma 60mm f2.8. None of which are used on a regular basis, I really should make more of an effort.
I also have several older legacy lenses which get even less use.

On the other hand, my Fuji 23mm f2.0 and 50mm f2.0 get used much more than the zooms. Very strange......

I do, with a Tamron adaptall 2, 135/2.5. No problems at all.

mainly use zooms, but like my F/1.8 trio of 17, 25 and 45 oly lenses + 60/2.8 macro. Finally gave in and ordered 25/1.2 today with a black friday discount. Pure GAS 🤔

Usually take the 14 and 25 when I'm traveling light or maybe the 17 and the 45. Or the 20 by itself.
Used to have the Panasonic/Leica 25 f/1.4 but sold it because of its size and the fact that I used the 17 more. I recently bought the Oly 25 but miss the 25 f/1.4. I'd like to get the Oly 12 f/2 but may get a zoom with that range instead.

O12/2
O17/1.8
P25/1.4
O45/1.8
O75/1.8

The P25 gets almost no use.
The O17 gets by far the most.

The O12 and O75 are used primarily for shooting musical performances. The O45 get used there as well as for street along with the O17

I've got 4 primes and they're all short:
1) Samyang 7.5/3.5 fisheye
2) Panasonic 20/1.7
3) Panasonic 15/1.7
4) Panasonic Leica 25/1.4

These days I primarily use the 15 and the 25 in that order, although I'm trying to spend more time exploring the 25's FoV.

Now, I tend to prefer zoom lenses, particularly the Olympus 12-40mm f/2.8 lens, the Olympus 14-150mm mark II f/4-5.6 lens, and the Panasonic 35-100mm mark I f/2.8 lens.

But I do have some primes, but only a few are used.
  • Panasonic 20mm f/1.7 mark I lens (bought new). This is the first micro 4/3rds prime lens that I got, and I used it quite a bit until I got the Olympus 12-40mm lens. For the indoor shots I do, it tends to be a little too long.
  • Olympus 45mm f/1.8 lens (bought new). This lens I have used quite a bit. It tends to be just about the right length for shooting performers from the audience.
  • Panasonic-Leica 15mm f/1.7 lens (bought used). This lens tends to suit me better for indoor shots and video close up. I use this lens a lot, particularly if I'm shooting two cameras (video on one with the 12-40mm lens, stills with the 15mm lens).
  • Sigma 16mm f/1.4 lens (bought refurbished). I bought this specifically to be used with my steampunk camera setup (currently E-m5 mark I). I need to go between dark indoor settings and outdoor settings where rain may be involved. I took it out on its first major outing last weekend at a science fiction convention, and it seemed to do well. It is the only splash proof lens in the 12-25mm range that is under $500. Unlike the other f/1.7-2.8 lenses, this lens is rather large, so it won't go in the camera bag like I do with the 15mm and 45mm to be used as needed.
  • Olympus 60mm f/2.8 (bought used). I bought this and I've used it a few times, but in the last couple of years I haven't done many macro shots.
  • Olympus 12mm f/2 (bought used). So far, I haven't shot with this lens except tests, as I find it is a bit too wide to use for indoor shots. I may decide to sell it.
  • Olympus 25mm f/1.8 (bought used). I bought this lens for a really great price, but so far, I find the 25mm is just not a focal length I prefer shooting at. If I didn't have the other primes, perhaps I would use it more. Like the 12mm, I've thought about selling it.
  • Classic 4/3rds Olympus 50mm macro + MMF-3 adapter (bought new). Like the 60mm macro lens, I just don't shoot macro, so it hasn't been used in a few years.
  • Classic 4/3rds Sigma 30mm f/1.4 + adapter (bought used). It is rather bulky. I used it some when I was primarily shooting with the E-x cameras when I needed f/1.4, but I mostly don't use it.
So of the lenses I currently use (Olympus 45mm, Panasonic-Leica 15mm, Sigma 16mm), each of these has a specific use case. But the 15mm and 45mm are rather small, and they often get tossed in the camera bag for 'just in case'. Several of the lenses (60mm, 12mm, 25mm) I don't use and sort of regret buying them. The 2 classic 4/3rds primes (30mm, 50mm) probably don't have much resale value these days.

I've always been more of a zoom guy, mostly because I'm lazy. Lately I've found the need for more primes so I'm in the process of looking around and deciding.

My want/have list:
Just ordered a Samyang 7.5.
Have PL 15 on hold at KEH, awaiting word on a trade-up quote. Should be on it's way this week.
Have a Panny 25.
Will likely use one of my old Rokkor 58mm's, not sure if the 1.2 or 1.4. The 1.2 is outstanding, but the 1.4 is also good and a little smaller/lighter.
Will end up with either a 85 Rokinon or a 75 Oly eventually.

I'd like to have the P 42.5 some day, but with the Rokkors it isn't necessary. These give me a decent array of FL's and are all fairly fast with the exception of the 7.5. I just won't use it enough to warrant a more expensive option.
