    Howdy,

I own a Panny 45-200 but I'm not very satisfied with it. I bought it 'cause it was cheaper than the 40-150 Olly and I'm not really eager on getting that one either. Is there an alternative to these two lenses?

Yes, the IQ on the 45-175 is superb except there are OIS issues. But if you own the OM-D, this should be a non-issue.

    How about the Lumix 100-300mm?

Personally, I adore my Zuiko 50-200mm f/2.8-3.5, but I'm guessing you won't be into such a large, expensive lens which works fastest with manual focus. The images out of it are superb.

Have you considered a 200mm prime? The Zuiko 200mm f/4 makes a nice compact travel lens which gives you good reach and is faster than any of the native zooms.

Seen from a sample on Lumix website the new 45-150 seems to perform really sharp wide open at 150mm, which is exactly the point 45-200 is missing.

The 45-175 X gets my vote!

    Hi
It seems that you have a bad copy of 45-200 mm . I had a very good copy and I sold it. Now I am using a friend's OLy 40-150 and its not sharper than PAnny 45-200 mm. New Panny 45-175 has mixed reviews and 45-150 is even worse than Oly 40-150 but I like the size and built of 45-150. Why not to try another copy of 45-200? I am gonna pick one tomorrow and compare with Oly 40-150.
    Cheers

The Lumix 35-100 has started shipping, it's looking like an excellent lens but is expensive (£900 or about $1300) and may not have the reach you are looking for.
