What width tyres were you running and what pressure...?


I've got 4" Mammoths on my Bigfoot and have to run between 8-10psi on the chunky sand up here, I imagine the hard packed finer grain sand down in the south west is much easier to ride on?

I've still got the 5.2" Chinese no-name monster truck tyres it came with just in case...

Same tyres. Yes very easy to ride on. Cannot remember the tyre pressure, but knowing me, too high

I'm still running tubes, had a bad experience with my Giant and trying to go tubeless and haven't bothered looking into it with the fatty...

Tubeless on two bikes now, my fat bike and my roadie.

New tyres today. Since I ride XC mostly I decided to buy some nice XC tyres. Felt great actually. Impressed with the paved road abilities. Fast and quiet.

I think you need to adjust the horizon on the last picture, it is vertical!
Edit: I am using Firefox on a PC workstation.

The Brompton Folding Bicycle, designed and built in London. A classic folding bike. Can be carried or pulled/pushed when folded. This model has 6 gears. I have been out with my chain gang twice on it, hardest ride I ever did, but did not come in last. Great around town, fits in an IKEA Dimpa bag. A great bike.

As the Yaberoo Budjara Heritage Trail enters the Yanchep National Park bicycle riders have one more walker-friendly barrier to negotiate. Oh down the track is another access option but you have to negotiate a gate to come that way.

From here into the park’s recreation area is all good riding which is nice.

On the return leg now of my out and back ride of the Yaberoo Budjara Heritage Trail. I paused in the shade at the point where the trail once again enters the Neerbup National Park. From here to the southern trailhead the track is a pretty good quality limestone surface. The worse of the trail is now behind me.

That looks like you went Microspline driver yes? Do they do Microspline with 135QR hubs now? I've just gone back to 2x myself. Ran 1x11 for a year, my tinkering got the better of me again, & I decided to try an XT side swing derailleur. 2x11 this time. With an 11-46 cassette. Absolutely brilliant. Very very light actuation effort required, extremely slick & fast shifts, & really really quiet. Shimano have redesigned the side swing FD, & it's a really really good thing.
