100km Dirt Series Audax Ride - Kep Track by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

Early into a 100 km ride of the Kep Track with Audax Australia.
I'm full of admiration for you, riding 100km off road Andrew.
I've managed a few 100km Audaxes here in the UK but all on road (and mostly damn hilly).

Here in Wales, there's a new law come in during the lockdown, where we're not supposed to cycle more than the equivalent of the length of a "reasonable walking distance from home". Twelve miles was our ride limit yesterday.

Lets say it took a lot longer than I thought it would :)

That is a serious lockdown you have there. We are today apparently heading to opening up travel to the regions and within the country so my planned trip to the outback is back on.

Waychinicup National Park - {Day 11- 04}
by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

Day 11: Esperance to Albany: The Unconventional Ride. 750 km in 10 days. I was to spend a few hours riding through Waychinicup National Park, the home to Mt Manypeaks and some 800+ flora and fauna species including some of rarest animals in Australia including quenda, ring-tailed possums and one of the few mainland populations of quokkas.

He he. More tweaking & updates. Went SLX 1x11, & bought a lightweight crankset off the Alliexpress. Yeah, lawn needs a mow, bike needs a wash.

Sold it last year, or the year before as it was not getting any use :(

This was probably the last picture of it, taken for the for sale add :(

Yes, unless you're actually "world travelling" it's a bit OTT.
Lots of pictures of it fully dressed - here in Croatia on the way to Greece and journey's end in Athens.

The Fence - {Day 11- 12}
by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

Day 11: Esperance to Albany: The Unconventional Ride. 750 km in 10 days. This fence marks one boundary of a 380-hectare section of the Waychinicup National Park fenced off to provide a protection zone for one of the world's rarest marsupial species, Gilbert's potoroo (Potorous gilbertii). The aim of the fence is to protect the native fauna from cats and foxes but it didn't allow for the native predator, the Carpet Snake which is apparently proving to be a well-fed pest.
