I have the new E-PL1 and I am getting it set-up.

I opened up the menu that allows to set up the JPEG recording.

You have options of LSF LF etc.

Have you all set it to Large Super Fine? Other than file size why would you not want it set at superfine?

I am just learning so I will not be shooting RAW at first until I get used to the camera and editing software. From what I have read the out of camera JPEGS are really nice anyways.

Hi Steve and by the way here's a formal congratulations on that new E-PL1!:bravo-009: Can't wait to hear more about it and see your photos with it.

I have been using Large Super Fine jpegs. I chose this in part due to Brian Mosley's great E-P2 video series. There is some argument that one doesn't really need Super Fine...

Here is one of those great videos in which one of the options that is discussed are what setting size you want to set your camera at: https://www.mu-43.com/showthread.php?p=5075#post5075 this is #5 of the Olympus E-P2 Quick Start series that Brian put together. In this thread there's a bit of a discussion, too. I'm sure others will follow-up on this thread, too.
