I took the bait and got Nik Collection (was on the free one lol).DxO is having a Black Friday Sale. I took the 50% off sale bait and bought Filmpack 5.![]()
I am also still using the old version (not free though, I paid Google $99 as I remember). Please let us know what advantages you see in the upgrade. I do want to support DxO but not if it's nearly the same software as I already have.I took the bait and got Nik Collection (was on the free one lol).
Ditto. It was Silver Efex Pro and the new Perspective FX that swayed me.I took the bait and got Nik Collection (was on the free one lol).
G.A.S. attack! E-M1 III, extra battery, and remote release cable coming my way! I responded to a can't-say-no offer at an event promoted by Olympus and Panasonic. The retailer is local to me (Hunt's), so this will probably get worse.![]()
In this case, it's a major upgrade/software enhancementI am also still using the old version (not free though, I paid Google $99 as I remember). Please let us know what advantages you see in the upgrade. I do want to support DxO but not if it's nearly the same software as I already have.
It was 20% off that. What was the deal?
It seems $1399 is normal for the EM1.3.
If you look around there are cables that take 1 IEC 320 Figure 8 C8 male cable and produce 2 or more IEC 320 C7 female cables. This allows you to have one plug in the power strip, and support 2 or 3 battery chargers. These are from Amazon.com. I assume you can get similar things from your version of Amazon. Note, I don't have these. I do have some cords with 1 US power socket and 4 IEC 320 female sockets, but it looks like the source of these has stopped making them. But in looking for them, I found these connectors:Is a £4 piece of blue perspex photography-related?
Well, maybe once I'd mounted my battery chargers onto it.
I was fed up of having these three chargers taking up space with their separate individual leads connected and as they all use the same mains lead, I'll just keep one in the drawer.
I'm sure I've seen something similar in a posting on here, so thanks to whomever's it was for the inspiration.![]()
Thats great a few may well be purchased for here, would neaten up a lot of wires. If you look around there are cables that take 1 IEC 320 Figure 8 C8 male cable and produce 2 or more IEC 320 C7 female cables. Sooorrrryyyyy....I feel ashamed of myself. I was supposed to not buy anything this god d--n weekend. But then pake posted so nice macro photos while I was dreaming of just good macro photos. So....
I thought I needed a Raynox DCR-250 to get where I want.
I also thought I need a new tripod. Not really satisfied with any tripod I have, actually. So....
A new travel tripod, carbon, very light weight. Cullman Carvao 816TC. But that will not do as "studio work" (if my hobby room is allowed to be called a studio). So....
A new big tripod, another Manfrotto. 190CXPRO3. I had before the 055XPROB, good stuff.
A ballhead for the Manfrotto, Uniqball UBH 35X-1. Seems great since I love the tilt function (and pan of course). It was Black Friday discount on this one!
A few Peak Design stuff on Black Friday discount, tech bag, wrist strap.
I know how much it hurts when you throw away still boxed, unused items that was forgotten.I took advantage of the sale and upgraded DxO PL2 to PL4. So now I have to install my still-boxed 1-year-old new computer running Windows 10 so I can install PL4 (hopefully during my remaining lifetime).
