    Dear All,
It's been a while, and it's going to be a while more; it happens.
And when I don't shoot, I read but not write. But I'm going to shoot quite a lot in a few weeks, when I'm expected to get down from the plane with my dearest in Bangkok and head overland to Angkor and someplace more via train.

This means I have a question for you all old hands:
Given that the epl3, the 20mm Linux, the 45mm Olympus are already in the bag, what should I buy?

    • vf-3 EVF. For the sunny moments and for manual focusing with the Konica 50/1,4
    • the Samyanf 7,5 I am lusting after since I saw it

    • a little LED light to do fill-in
    • nothing

    Thank you all

If you never feel frustrated by the lack of the VF, pick up the 7.5. If you do miss it, get the VF first.

I agree. Out of those choices I'd be torn between the 7.5" and the VF-2.

The E-PL3's screen is pretty bad out in the sun. But an inbuilt EVF is in the cards for the Pen line, so you could buy it now, and then have to offload it. I'll put my vote in the the Sammy as well

Even if you get nothing new, I'm sure we'll enjoy what you "show and tell" when you get back.

I think the fisheye would be awesome at Angkor Wat.

I would go for the EVF, but perhaps a used VF-2 instead?

In the end it was the tiniest fill-in LED and a light blue bag, and a ticket on the afternoon train south, tomorrow.

What about a nice ziplock bag for humidity and rain purposes in those countries and some spare batteries to never run out of juice?

    Alf,

Can you advise what LED light you purchased? I am interested in this. Any info would be beneficial.

    Thanks.

The tiniest Manfrotto, two lines using a single battery. Bear in mind I'm going to use it as fill-in when in difficult light, and sometimes as a help inthe dark.
    Hope this helps.
