what lens to use for low-light video?

I used the 20mm/1.7 because it's the brightest lens I have. However it does seem to hunt a bit for focus sometimes (unnecessarily?). I also have the 14mm/2.5 . Would it be better with quicker focus? Would it be worth it giving up some light for?
I do prefer the longer reach of the 20mm. Would it be better to use manual focus to prevent the lens from focusing back and forth during the video?

    Thanks.

btw, is it just me or does the guy in the first video look like Alec Baldwin in a wig?
