Hope that I am not being too ignorant here, but.....
I have an Oly EM5 and on the shooting screen (EVF and the OLED) is an icon that is marked "FPS^." At the top of the finder towards the center. My book claims it is the digital tele converter (David Busch's book) but there is no way that can be right.
Any clue as to what this really is or how I have it in the viewfinder now? I don't remember ever seeing this.

    High Frame Rate.

Select [High] to reduce display lag. Display quality may drop under some types of lighting, including fluorescent lamps.
    p92 of the manual.

It's changed in Menu *J - Frame Rate from being Normal or High.

I think it's also worth mentioning that setting the increased sensor readout rate has a visible effect on contrast AF speed. Also some settings (can never remember which ones) will cause the high FPS option to stop working / be grayed out in the menu.

Well...THANKS for letting me know what this FPS^ thing was. I do not recall ever turning it on but once I noticed it I could not find out how to change it back. Thanks a lot for letting me know.
