This reminds me of that little interview The Beatles did when they played their first show in North America:

Reporter: "So how did you find America?"
    Lennon: "...Turn left after Greenland..."

    ;-)

We lived 15 months in Kodiak, 1986-88. It takes that long to decide, if you like it, or hate it. It's called the emerald Isle of the North Pacific, when the sun shines (average 3 days per month). The rest of the time its just "the rock".

What I learned is that Kodiak offers some awesome fishing. In 7 days, our group pulled in 2000 pounds of fish. Halibut, Rockfish, Cod, Lingcod, and 70 silver salmon. With the amount of fishing we did, photography took a backseat. Other than some cellphone photos of our fishing, I have no photography to show for it.

But I have a lot of fillets in my freezer. And I'm tired of salmon.. but prefer cod, halibut, and rockfish. That much I learned!!!

And check my Flickr for fish pictures.

Dedicated fishermen - especially considering the other wildlife there. Enjoy the fish!!!
