I was actually thinking of starting a "what other hobby" thread. Never got around to it.

I've been getting into astronomy the last year. I thought photography had its headaches and expenses...boy was I wrong.

I've been bowling in leagues and tournaments for about 15 years. I was averaging about 200 up until the last year. Now its down to 190. Lots of distractions this year.

I also in the spring and fall fly stunt kites. I've only gotten a little better with it. Like any hobby, it takes time and practice.

I also hike in the spring and fall. My gf and I do day hikes. Usually we do one or two day hikes around the local area, and then once a year we like to do a small trip somewhere and do day hikes. Last year we did some hiking around the Gatlinburg/Smokey Mountain area. The year before that we did some hiking in North Georgia. This is one reason I ended up liking the mFT format is that the gear is more portable. Many of my hiking pictures turn out really well, but being limited to the cameras I was using, I couldn't print say larger than 8x10. I have a few pictures I'd love to make bigger, but just won't work.

We are an organization for the Pow/Mia issue.
I am a founding member of the Warriors' Watch.
This is a troop and 1st responder support group.

For fun I play bluez guitar in a few bands.
I love my Harley's, oh yeah...my wife also.

Me I'm into hill walking during winter, golf spring through to autumn, used to do loads of flyfishing. Broke my ankle late Nov so won't be right for a couple of months. Thinking about buying a sit on top kakak.

Did you get involved with the 'American Chopper' bike that Paul Senior and Paul Jnr did on the telly?

i used to ride motorcycles too - until my time got consumed by the most important thing in life, family. with riding less than 6000 km per year i decided to call it a day (but maybe i'll return to riding later?)

anyway, here is a pic of the motorcycle i enjoyed riding most.

You mean Paul from TDPRI?
No, I didn't. I'm "The Snowman" over there.
We helped with the POW/MIA bike a few years ago.

Right now, family first, and therefor work as well, construction management at this point.

Other things taking up my time:
My bikes are pedal powered  and do not ask how many are in the garage

Inparticular I like steel road bikes that can go any where any time, and maybe even haul stuff. I do not really draw a line between my road and "mountain bikes".

When the surf is good I am out in the water.

I write with fountain pens, shave with a brush and soap, drive a VW TDI, and love to cook. A man of many niches, all with their own accociated clan.

I used to surf, and sail but skin cancer has chased me from my
outdoor pursuits. Now I spend more time on the computer
either playing around with images or using Adobe InDesign to
publish my GF's Democratic Newsletter..... :)

Oh yea... I'm a major movie nut....
