the near far nord, eh!
Usually this is Port time... a ten year old tawny Port by Taylor Fladgate... but today was a rough day so didn’t want to waste a good dram of Port and opted for a bottle of Alexander Keith 🍺 instead... and a few almonds... had to have something healthy didn’t I? 😊

And really, Påskmust/Julmust don't need the salt either!
But for our non Swedish friends we must try to explain what this Påsk/Julmust is.
So enter Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julmust
Can only recommend it. It's a must (pardon the pun) for X-mas! But I don't agree with Wikipedia, about the Easter and X-mas types being the same. The taste of Yule Must is definitely better! And, please, don't get a version with sweetener. When drinking carbonated soft drinks, Coke included, don't be a pu**y, get the real thing! This sweetener thing is a bit like non alcoholic beer. A part of the globalist conspiracy to take away freedom and democracy from the Western world. Sorry to wax political. I'm gonna stop now.

A Negroni. Photo is from last year but is representative.

It's after 5pm on a Friday afternoon, and the Negroni is such a brilliant cocktail how can I resist? Cheers @steve16823

I'll be visiting a friend in Finland sooner or later, perhaps they have a similar beverage or I'll have access to it due to relative proximity.

The nearest Ikea to me is a 6 hour drive. Oddly enough, the only Ikea I've ever seen was in Barcelona.

Slightly over-oaked but this is fine stuff, strong coffee-chocolate-vanilla notes. A typical Lomond still malt being malt-shy on the nose but tasty. :)
