Also had a couple of Linkwood 14 year old as well. Very nice indeed.

That was after the 3 or 4 G&T before the last Edinburgh fringe show and gather bottle of red with dinner.

Alas back to my daughter’s student flat for bottles of beer.

Been in my hammock drinking beer and catching up on my Australian Photography magazine subscription all afternoon.

It was alright. Not very sessionable. Much prefer NEIPAs.

@VSTR61 I think Nikka Whisky From The Barrel is pretty good whiskey. What's your verdict on the Hibiki?
@Carbonman The Hibiki is a really good blended whisky, but overpriced. I think it lacks complexity but few people agree online. Most online reviews are spot on as far the quality of the whisky and the blokes that are making it know their business. For me, it's got a touch of sweetness and quite aromatic but doesn't have the 'oomph' I was looking for. I tasted the now out of production, 12 year old and it was way better. Also way more expensive.

Two bottles of the Nikka for the price of one NAS Hibiki in Australia? A bit of a 'no-brainer' as our 'merican cousins would say.
