Many of you may remember a "famous" YouTube video from a year or so ago where the guy filming it started weeping when b/c it was "so intense" and beautiful. When I saw my double rainbow pictures from this weekend, I also started weeping, but not because of the beauty. Instead it was because I didn't realize just how dirty my lens was (mostly rain drops on the lens I didn't notice). Oh well, live and learn (the photos are lacking a little something anyway).

Thanks snkenai but I don't really like any of them. It was more a cautionary tale about making sure your lenses are clean because it's hard to tell just looking through the viewfinder.

agreed ... and why weep? I would love to see a double-rainbow with or without a camera!

I liked the last one the best, but it was a definite shame about the lens.

Nice. Saw one last week on our family outing camping trip. Sadly no camera at hand and the clouds soon obscured the sun ...

Never was any good at capturing a decent photo of rainbows anyway so really didn't mind not having a camera handy.

I've never seen one like your first one, with both bands up so high. I've only ever seen them come down somewhere, so they're sort of both vertically relative, not horizontally so.

Got this a while back at my family's ranch. Lucked out and got them coming down in a sunspot.
