Weekly Challenge #8: Long Exposure This week's topic is one I am not very experienced with. I like to look at pictures taken with a long/bulb exposure, but more then often have no creative ideas on how to use this "technic". Allowed for this challenge is any picture which clearly shows that a long exposure was at play. This could range from star trails, light trails or daylight pictures taken with an ND filter. Of course, any other cool idea using bulb exposure, I am not creative enough to think off, is allowed too. Here are two examples from me: This one is from the Munich's '72 Olympic tower. Long exposure is really the cause for the image's look and not the beverage traditionally served at the pictured Oktoberfest. ------------------------- Weekly Challenge Rules The challenge will be open from Friday through Wednesday, with a winner announced on Thursday (slowly sneaking back to schedule...). Everyone gets to submit 2 photos shot with an m4/3 camera in line with the chosen theme. The winner of the previous challenge gets to choose the new theme (topics can be anything under the sun) and serves as the judge for his/her weekly challenge. For obvious purposes, the judge is disqualified from participating in his/her own weekly challenge. Instead, he/she should post up to 2 photos as examples to start out the challenge. Should the winner not be able to commit to being the next judge, the responsibility is passed on to the runner-up. Contests are scheduled to open on Wednesday of each week. On Tuesday of the following week, the judge will name a blue ribbon winner, a runner-up, and 1 honorable mention. As we all know, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. We may not all agree with the chosen winners; the judge is encouraged (but not required) to state what criteria he used to decide on a winner. To make sure we don't break any Mu43 rules/regulations, by participating in this thread you are allowing the judge to repost your image for the sole purpose of announcing the winners for the Weekly Challenge.
