If @Crdome ever messages you and says "I'm coming to visit, let's go on a photowalk," do it! A few weeks ago we spent a great day walking around Denver. We chatted, had some drinks, oh, and we took some pictures.

Michael's been to Denver many times (even lived here in CO for a stretch) but I figured he hadn't strolled down South Broadway since it's been revamped, and I know he wanted to check out the Santa Fe arts district. So we started at one of my favorite places, a tiki bar called Adrift.

While I waited (Denver traffic is a nightmare these days) I enjoyed the atmosphere and a wonderfully delicious drink.

I was excited to get to use some of Michael's amazing, old cinema lenses, like the Taylor Hobson -Cooke Kinic One Inch f/1.5 (used below).

We left Adrift around 2:00 p.m. and wandered the streets, in search of photo goodness. Here's some of what I found.

First stop, the tattoo parlor where, coincidentally, my good friend Lisa was getting some new ink.

Next stop, Boss Vintage. One of the best vintage clothing stores in town.

There's definitely more, but so far I've done all the sharing. @Crdome, you're up! :)

Wow! What a wonderful (unsolicited) endorsement! Finally, I was able to persuade Web-Betty to venture out with me. She blew me off in February with a lame excuse that disease was cycling through her family.

Melissa was a fun companion to shoot with and led me to sights/sites unimagined. I experienced my first tattoo studio. From my previous visit she noted that I had been shooting along parts of South Broadway minutes from her home. It was nice to begin shooting a bit north of where I had stopped. I hadn’t realized that I was still a significant distance to the city’s core.

Melissa, I’m thrilled you worked with the ciné lenses. They are such a treat.

It's a sad commentary, but it's the first question I ask when entering any establishment.

We both notice this lady, and her equally skinny, bell bottomed male companion moving too fast and at too great of distance to adequately capture them. They were such beautiful street photo op material.

I've forgotten the importance of this site but I love the wonderful abstraction it offered.

Melissa, thank you for waiting to post your images until I was able to return home.

I’m intrigued seeing peoples’ habitats, expressions of their of the personalities. Melissa provided fruitful opportunities. These alley shots are along just one or two blocks. Can you anticipate what I want to do next time?

I'm not sure our images are painting the best picture of Denver, lol. Just as well...maybe it will encourage people to STOP moving here.

Amazing capture on that backyard BTW. Mine was not even close to this good.

Our time was way too short. Especially for using multiple lenses. As you see the Taylor Hobson -Cooke Kinic One Inch f/1.5 is very soft and luminous. Stopped down it can become quite sharp yet allows isolation of the subject to dissolved background. Unlike the 25mm Kodak, It fully covers the sensor. i think even stopped all the way down.

Would it be inappropriate to mention that several bars were visited along our way?
