Since our first meeting 4 years ago, I've been able to hang out with @Crdome multiple times (like a bad penny, he keeps turning up ).Our latest adventure had us revisiting our original stomping grounds, South Broadway — you can check out our first meeting here: https://www.mu-43.com/threads/web-betty-and-crdomes-denver-adventure.93085/. While much of SoBo has remained the same after the pandemic, some things have changed. We had fun revisiting old faves and checking out new spots.

An iconic Denver spot, it closed in 2020. Not necessarily due to the pandemic, but because the owner was ready to move on. The great news is that he sold it to Nathaniel Rateliff, who has stated he will be re-opening the spot, and keeping it pretty much the same. Vaccines are, indeed, a gateway drug to live music shows.

@Crdome looks much better in the taco hat than I do. 🌮 We had to stop for a cerveza — photowalks are thirsty work.

Some people will do anything for attention for the shot.

Hi folks I'm thrilled to be back with MFT. I cherish shooting escapades with Melissa. This is our third. @Web-Betty and @deepaqua joined me for the The Quest Continues: 2019 Tour finale. Sadly Anil was out of town.

Our adventure was planned specifically for "your" viewing pleasures. Embarking on such requires hours strategic planning. Fortunately Melissa planed numerous war rooms about SoBo to muster our resources. Surprisingly this information was not included in the introdution

I am still enamored with the Kodak Ciné Ektar 25mm f/1.4. For me there is nothing nicer for street shooting. My images on this thread were shot exclusively with it.

Melissa, would you post your image of this taken before the lights were run?

Guess I'm still stuck in film mentality. One image per subject! I can't afford to fill up my 64GB card. It's got top last me 'till I die.

I had hoped @Web-Betty would pick up the reins here. I'm beyond too exhausted to post but I must honor my moral obligation to you. Hoped i'd have something witty to impart upon you. Perhaps in my next posting!

Sorry, @Crdome! It's been a stupid busy week at work. You take a breather, and I'll take the reins for a few.

Too much awesomeness to take in.

Oh man, I just realized I had already posted the images, except this one. I really need a break from work. Sorry folks...more, new, images to come!

As requested, here's the cow before the light installation. As well as at the "South Broadway skyline," from July 2020.

I never get tired of this sign. It looks as cool during the day, as it does lit up at night.

I'm slow sometimes, and I've found myself coming back to this photo, not knowing why until now. The quick reaction is it's just a photo of a colorful sign. But the gloomy sky, the shadowy trees and the grey building, at least just enough to make you want to see more, blends so well with the colorfulness of the voodoo. One would think the voodoo sign would be darkly mysterious on a colorful background, but the opposition here draws attention.
