I went for a drive today...

At least some parks are open, but forbid 'gatherings':

I found a 'hiking' trail that has reopened:

This school seems to have some staff still working:

Ventured a heady 5 miles from home today, to the "coast". Weirdly, we in England now have different (lesser) restrictions than in Wales which is just over the bridge.

The perspective is fabulous!
Awww, thanks! I invented it myself!

To put it in perspective, the restrictions in the U.S. are by state, and in California, counties may impose additional restrictions, and in L.A. county cities may impose still more restrictions... and not even anything in the way of natural boundaries to keep it all organized. :D

Another bike ride of the Pandemic today, away from the coast and deeper inland.

We interrupted these youngsters having either a late breakfast or early lunch (obviously not social distancing)

We came across two fords on the way round. Mrs.H wouldn't ride through the first one as it looked a bit deep and rocky, so she opted for the adjacent footbridge.
She watched me ride through the second and I persuaded her it wasn't so bad.

Mid-stream she was still a bit worried.

But came out smiling.

A bit further round, it was only the strong breeze and the Cow Parsley she had to contend with.

And finally, our final resting place was not our final resting place, if you get my meaning.
We did enjoy the bluebells in the graveyard though.

When the wind blows from the east, it brings in moisture from the atlantic and with it clouds that sit over us--with the mountais to the west they have nowhere to go. WIndy, cloudy, but not wet: not bad conditions in all. I thought I'd start to dabble with an ND filter today.

Took a drive to the beach on Sunday to get a change of scenery.

en route... this guy has lived here for a year or two... he was usually naked until he donned a red hat for Christmas, and then acquired the 'slow' sign and orange safety vest (now faded). This is on an old & narrow 2-lane highway which twists through this small community.
More recently, he got the mask and glasses. He's about 2 feet tall.

This book exchange popped up a few months ago, just before the pandemic iirc.

When we got to Newport Beach (which has re-opened to the public for a few weeks now), 95% of the people there were not wearing masks nor was there enough space to maintain social/physical distance.
So we stayed in the car and I took these pics:

I don't know why I get inspired in the weirdest moments and strangest moods (today):

Good thing cows don't work in real life like in Minecraft ... else I would find stakes all over the fields when there's a thunderstorm :p

The UK is one of the few countries that still have the schools closed after 8 weeks of the pandemic.

It's only us left: the wind, the rubbish, and a photographer.

Let's see how long people will still remember and appreciate the low income yet so vital members of our economies.

I went out on Tuesday with my Pen f, and had forgotten how good its jpeg engine is. Colour profile 3 used, only adjusted for perspective and cropping
