The situation here in Hong Kong had been relatively under control but there has been a surge of new cases as people returned from overseas and others were letting their guard down, so the government has issued stronger social distancing requirements - including shutting down outdoor fitness areas and playgrounds. I happened to catch this scene today but only had my phone with me:

My kids didn't want to go out this evening so I had a walk out from my front door. Got to the end of my street and spotted a magpie sitting on a post on the corner of a playing field/park area, settled to take a few photos when I heard a stern voice behind me "good job there's no kids on there" (there were no kids), I said "what do you mean?" to which he replied "with a camera like that!"... I couldn't believe it! I said "I was taking a picture of a bird you dick!", he went back into his hole after that! Not sure but I think he'd come out of his house specifically to have go at me.. ruined my walk before it had even started. I'm sure if I had a 50x zoom on phone it would have been ok because it's not 'camera like that'.

Having picked my jaw up off the floor I carried on with my evening constitutional, only got a few more pics after that. To kind of make things a bit brighter I passed a young family (on the opposite side of the road, social distancing protocols observed at all times), one the kids said "hello, like your camera!" and her parents weren't bothered at all... the irony of it made me smile a bit!

The magpie (before I was accosted and it flew away)

Another pandemic drive. I shoot these out of my truck window, sometimes through the passenger side, all while stopped in the road. I don't get a lot of time and have to watch for other vehicles. I rarely leave the truck. Today the bridge shot is the only one I stepped out for. It's been kind of nice with so little traffic. I use whatever lens is on the camera because there isn't much time to change. I try and guess if the area will be more closed in with trees and buildings closer to the road, or if it will be more farm fields and I'll need the range of a longer lens. I drive by so many shots because there's another vehicle or some feature like a hill or sharp curve that would make it dangerous to stop. Very few of these roads have any kind of shoulder or place to pull over.

Only a few pics today; overcast and got a work call in the middle of my walk.
Also going to have to convince my father-in-law that we need to change our route occasionally for variety.

From tonight's walk... local pinball joint never had a chance... at least the owner had the family business to fall back on.

Did my usual route this morning and noticed this just 100 yards from my house on the way back.
The NHS is Britain's National Health Service and there have been tributes for the work they have been doing at the moment (though I reckon it's early days yet).

Took a bit of a different route on my walk tonight. Me and my lad went to the windfarm but set off in the opposite direction to our usual route. No dickheads, more sheep, less windmills, some cracking landscape, a yellowhammer and a dead mouse!

Peeked inside a local business that hosts children's parties and play. Needless to say they are closed, but a talented balloon artist reminds us to wash the coronavirus off our hands.

Took a sunset beach walk, starting at a popular county park that is beside a closed state park. I saw the RV as I came back to the parking lot. I hope he's able to stay the night there.

Living by the sea, I was curious to see whether it would be busy. Yesterday was a lovely sunny spring day, which would normally mean lots of people coming to the seaside. I went out early afternoon on my usual walk.

Usually there would be no car park spaces by the hedge on the right.
