Feeling a bit restless indoors, I glanced outside through the back patio doors and noticed that it was getting dark. I decided to go out and shoot some photos around the neighborhood. I recently picked up one of the famously inexpensive 35mm f1.7 lenses and have not yet used it. I screwed on the provided extension tubes giving the lens impressive close focusing capabilities, and went out to test it, generally keeping it wide open and shooting hand held.

Although the lens produces very soft and flat images lacking any dynamic range, I think what I did in post processing on these images gives them a redeeming quality, and indeed a certain "look".

    What do you think?

I really like the look that you produce with that lens.
